Meet Dr. Tanner

Richard Tanner DDS attended University of the Pacific in Stockton earning a BS in Biology in 1979. Then he attended UOP Dental School in San Francisco, California and earned his DDS in 1982. He started his professional career in 1982 working with well-respected dentist Dr. Fulgham.  He started his own practice in 1987 and built it up steadily, focusing on doing the right thing for his patients’ ongoing dental health while being mindful of their financial situations.

He is a proud member of the Contra Costa Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.  He stays up to date on the latest dental techniques through ongoing education and training.  He is dedicated to his patients, his practice, and to providing excellence in clinical results.

Born and raised in Concord, many of his patients are life-long friends. In fact if you went to school in Concord in the 1970s you may see someone you know when you come to the office.  Dr. Tanner has a confident and professional demeanor, a dry sense of humor, and a personality that sets most people at ease.  He runs a friendly, and relaxed practice in a building that used to be a house, located on Concord Boulevard – within walking distance to the Concord BART station.  His office has plenty of parking, and is open convenient hours – including Saturdays and some evenings.
